Soo J. Kim, the founder of KITTAE, is a New York–based pattern-maker, designer, and educator with over three decades of experience transforming creative concepts into precise, beautifully engineered garments. Trained in both technical construction and artistic design, she has built a reputation for combining architectural clarity with a refined aesthetic.

Her career spans work with designer brands, private clients, and years of teaching at Parsons, where she guided emerging designers to understand patterns as the structural foundation of every garment. This blend of mastery and mentorship shapes her unique approach: analytical, intentional, and grounded in craftsmanship.
